When the townsfolk have lost all hope, their hero takes shape in the form of Sheriff Sugar Wolf (Shaggy 2 Dope) who is no stranger to these parts.       Ever since Twiztid have returned from the Slaughterhouse Tour it has been impossible to step foot inside of the Lotus Pod. The two masterminds, Madrox and Monoxide, have practically barred themselves away from the public as they diligently work at completing their next major album entitled Heartbroken & Homicidal, which is set to be released September 21st.

For weeks they have arrived in the early hours of day and stayed until late at night. The sound of thumping bass can be heard throughout the entire building as thick plumes of smoke roll out from beneath the locked Lotus Pod door. They have been laying low, wrapped in their work on what we have heard is another musical masterpiece from the demented duo.

But through a twist of fate and the luck of the draw, we somehow managed to get inside the studio for an interview with Twiztid. This was our chance to learn about Heartbroken & Homicidal from the men themselves. The entire room was filled with the smog of bud and cigarette smoke. We could barely hear ourselves think as music blared from large speakers, giving us a small taste of what would be on the album. But we didn’t let that stop us as we asked them the questions that Juggalos have been pondering amongst themselves.

Monoxide would steadily listen to the beats they were creating, tweaking knobs and sliders here and there until it sounded just right. Madrox was lost in the same level of intense devotion to their craft, but he would pause now and then, long enough to give us the answers we were looking for.

The entire interview was done and over before we knew what had happened. The door of the Lotus Pod was once again shut in our face as the volume of the music rose. But what we were left with was the following interview.

HH: There is a lot of speculation going around over the title of your brand new album, Heartbroken & Homicidal. Can you shed any light on this title for us?

Madrox: To care for something - to love it and to cherish it - is, and can be, very meaningful. But when your THING that you care for and love is taken away from you or rejects you? Your world is crushed. You’re Heartbroken.  Most people deal with rejection or loss of love or loved ones in passing and move on with their lives. But a select few lash out with bitter hate and malice toward anyone and everyone causing them to go homicidal. This album will deal with a variety of entries all surrounding those very people and the complexities of their stories.

HH: What can the Juggalos expect from Heartbroken & Homicidal?

Madrox: It's a musical expedition though the emotions that humans feel, act, and emote as their world closes around them. I'm sure a lot of people will relate to this record more than they will care to admit. Is that a good thing? Maybe... If it helps them vent rather than kill - definitely!

HH: Are there any special guests on Heartbroken & Homicidal you can tell us about?

Madrox: No, not at this time.

HH: What has you most hype about Heartbroken & Homicidal?

Madrox: Our sound is ever changing, yet deeply rooted in every element of what we do best - being ourselves!  I’m hype after all these years myself and Paul still have the ability to do that. What's more real than that?  Flat out!

HH: Are there any songs on Heartbroken & Homicidal that really jump out at you as your favorite so far? If so can you drop a little knowledge about them?

Madrox: We have a song called "Apple", it's very powerful and deals with current happenings in our America. It will make minds think about the surroundings they live in - it's real deep. And another called “PSA” that deals with the touchy subject of cyber bullying in a playful yet deadly way. There's two off the top of the dome.

HH: When Twiztid put out an album you guys tend to reinvent yourselves and your sound.  Can you give us a hint as to what will separate the Heartbroken & Homicidal era from all other eras of Twiztid?

Madrox: A sense of realism brought about in a time of fakeness. While others follow the trends we may, or may not, have set we still continue to make our own decisions and raise the bar at will. We truly went outside of our comfort zone to capture what we heard in our minds for this record.

HH: Any other tidbits you can drop?

Madrox: After seeing that concept fan-art cover we previously posted on twiztid.com, I officially hate the players and the game. I'm out!

On December 31, 2009 everyone at Psychopathic Records said that 2010 was going to be their year. They vowed that 2010 was going to be the biggest and most ruthless display of what the underground had for the entire world to see. Nothing would be held back. Nothing would stop them from delivering blow after blow to the mainstream world.

So far? They’ve stayed true to their word. So far they have a huge movie premiere under their belt with the release of their second feature length film, Big Money Rustlas, following behind. The Insane Clown Posse became a global sensation with their “Miracles” video which touched and puzzled countless people all over the Earth. So much so that SNL parodied it. Almost every month various Psychopathic Records and Hatchet House artists have been putting out chart topping CDs that have been leaving a huge impact on their fans. You had the Insane Clown Posse’s jaw dropping Happy Daze Tour, Twiztid’s stomach churning Slaughterhouse Tour, and all of the artists traveling across the nation to bring the Family Love right to your doorstep.

That is just a small taste of what the hatchet has been doing to keep themselves busy in 2010 and we just hit

the halfway mark of the year! So, what else do they have up their sleeve? Well, we know about The Gathering of the Juggalos August 12th – 15th. We’re all well aware of Big Money Rustlas being released Augst 17th. It has also been made public that Twiztid’s brand new album, Heartbroken & Homicidal, will be released on September 21st.

But we now have some new knowledge to slap upside your domes! We have the dates for THREE big albums set to drop from three big artists of Psychopathic Records and Hatchet House! Get the super glue out, Ninjas, and have your homie grab some duct tape, because without proper precautions your wig is going to be non-existent. Take a moment and get prepared.

You good now? Alright, this is what we’ve got!

First up, DJ Clay has been busy in the studio getting together the second installment of his latest series. That’s right, it’s Book of the Wicked Chapter Two and it’s comin’ for you before the end of the year! He’ll once again be pulling together all of the artists of the Hatchet for new songs, innovative renditions, and straight up remixes! Violent J, Shaggy 2 Dope, Twiztid, Blaze, ABK, Boondox, AMB! You know it’s not a DJ Clay joint without all of the Psychopathic and Hatchet artists unleashing in the studio! You can look forward to this album dropping on October 5th!

      Next, this artist has got a style all his own. He has stuck to his roots and used what he knows to carve out his niche in the world and without a doubt;

Juggalos are all about it! We’re talking about ABK! He is the official Hatchet Warrior of the label that runs with a hatchet. When he’s not criss-crossing the country performing for the Juggalos and passing out burgers (find out about upcoming Killa Cook-outs on thehatchetwarrior.com), he’s in the studio working on his next album! It’s called Medicine Bag and it sticks with ABK’s Native American roots while bringing in that gritty Detroit rap sound he knows so well. That album will be dropping on October 19th!

Finally, it wouldn’t be a big year for the label that runs beneath the streets without Mike E. Clark getting into the mix. Earlier in the year he was busy putting in time on Boondox’s South of Hell and Blaze Gang Rags, but now he’s stepping into the spotlight for his own CD! Of course we’re talking about the Mike E. Clark Murder Mix Volume 2! He takes Psychopathic classics then mashes and mixes them in ways that only the mad scientist of music could comprehend. When you listen to these albums you’re never quite sure how he came up with these off the wall ideas for reworking these songs, but you know damn well you’re glad he did! Keep an eye out for that album, which is set to drop November 9th!

As you can see, Psychopathic Records still has a lot in store for the rest of 2010. And this is just the dirt that we could get our hands on! You know those Ninjas are always plotting, planning, and coming up with tons of dope ways for the Juggalos to come together and enjoy themselves! We’re not sure what else they have planned, but considering how the first half of the year has gone? We can’t fuckin’ wait!
